talk therapy

We are a combination of a number of influences from our genetic makeup (physical attributes, personality, health etc), ever changing environmental factors (access to food, health, development, family, community, safety etc), the different roles we take on (child, parent, boss, friend etc.), the factors present in the our field in any given moment (different people bringing up different responses, the feel of a place impacting us, the context of space and relationships etc), our mental health and spiritual experiences, as well as the many layered and highly complicated relationship between all these factors in any moment, half of which might be operating outside of our consciousness.

Talking is one of our primary means of communication and therefore often plays a central role in our process of meaning making. We use language to communicate our stories, the big, and the many small ones. We use it to integrate our experiences of creative and body centered therapy experiences.
